Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley is world renowned as the premier Zinfandel growing area. The 2015 originates from our estate vineyard adjacent to the Mill Creek Tasting Room in the Southern Dry Creek Valley and from Matt Kreck's vineyard on the eastern bench of Dry Creek Valley. The latter produces lush ripe wine characteristics, while the estate fruit is loaded with spice, blackberry and anise. After harvest, the clusters are gently de-stemmed and then filled into stainless steel tanks. Preceding the fermentation is a 3-5 day cold soak. The must is then inoculated with yeast then mixed 3 times per day to extract flavors, color, and tannin from the skins. After pressing, the new wine is filled into French oak barrels (25% new) and aged for approximately 18 months.

Mixed dark fruits blend with a nose of anise, raspberry, and vanilla. A weighty attack precedes a lush and full middle.
