Our 2007 Left of Starboard, Dessert Wine is made from a blend of Estate Zinfandel and Merlot. Although we can not label it Port because of an agreement between the United States and the European Union, it is made in a port style being fortified with Brandy.
This 2007 vintage offers an amazing concentration and complexity of flavors. Hand crafted from a blend of Zinfandel and Merlot grapes, this wine is fortified with brandy, and has a residual sugar of 8%. Unlike some wines of this category, this wine is sweet, but not syrupy sweet, and is very reflective of it's varital roots. Tasting it, your mouth will burst with berry flavors and a light spicy characteristic that lingers through the long finish.
