Hand-harvested from the estate in the cool early hours of mid-September, this Malbec was carefully destemmed and sorted before undergoing a four-day cold soak. Fermentation followed over 10 days, after which the wine was pressed and transferred into a mix of neutral French oak and new Hungarian oak barrels, where it aged for 22 months. The final blend was crafted to highlight the delicate interplay between bright, juicy fruit and floral aromatics, framed by a texture that is at once luxuriously soft and precisely structured.
Our 2022 Malbec presents a beautiful bouquet of violets and sage, with subtle aromas of baking spice and vanilla from it’s 22 month aging in French and Hungarian Oak. This wine’s initial flavors of red current and blackberries follow with similar flavors and a soft tannic structure which carries to the mid-palate. The finish is pleasantly long, with vanilla and black peppercorn complementing its red fruit qualities.
