The grapes for our ‘Santa Rosa’ Rosé come from just outside our tasting room on our 65-acre estate in the Dry Creek Valley. This estate is influenced by the cool fog of the Russian River Valley and the summer heat of Dry Creek Valley. The fruit was hand-harvested on the fifth of September at 20.9 Brix. Prior to pressing, it was cold-soaked on the skins for two hours to maximize color extraction and aromatic expression. Cold soaking helps capture the floral and fresh aromatics found within the grapes. After pressing, the juice was transferred to stainless steel and fermented at temperatures between 60 and 65 degrees. The Rosé remained in stainless steel until bottling, preserving its beautifully juicy aromatics and crispness.
This clean, crisp Rosé takes your senses on a tour of orange blossom and white peach aromatics. As it opens on the palate, it reveals flavors of citrus, white peach, and alpine strawberries. The medium finish is bright and refreshing. This wine pairs nicely with a charcuterie board of cured meats, flatbread pizza, or a grilled peach and burrata salad. Enjoy this wine on a lovely picnic day—it’s a sure hit for spring and summer weather.
