2022 Rosé

2022 Rosé

Winemaker's Notes

The grapes for our Santa Rosa Rosé. come from just in front of the tasting room on our 65 acre estate in the Dry Creek Valley. The location is influenced by the cool fog from the Russian River Valley and the daytime heat of Dry Creek Valley.  Sustainable practices are utilized to minimize environmental impact. The grapes were picked early in the morning taking advantage of cool temperatures which preserves fruit aromas and flavors. Being so close to our vineyards, we have the luxury of being able to crush our fruit within minutes of harvest. The grapes for Rosé are picked slightly less ripe than if we were picking for regular Merlot. Fermentation, using Cross Evolution Yeast, is conducted in stainless steel between 60 and 66F which helps create this crisp, refreshing style of Rosé.

Tasting Notes

This wine offers a vibrant and aromatic bouquet of fresh strawberries and citrus, which leads into a palate of crisp citrus, juicy strawberries, and a subtle hint of tart cherry. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a bright acidity that enlivens the palate.

This versatile wine pairs well with a range of foods, including savory ham, tangy goat cheese or creamy cream cheese appetizers, and savory Prosciutto. Alternatively, it can be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing sipper, perfect for unwinding on the porch or lounging by the pool.
