Winemaker Notes
This wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer from grapes grown on the Mill Creek estate property. The location is influenced by the cool fog from the Russian River Valley but also the daytime heat of the Dry Creek area. The vines are purposely farmed to yield flavorful berries ideal to their varietal. Grapes for this particular wine were picked early on the mornings of August 20th and August 25th and immediately taken to the winery to begin the wine making process. The wine was bottled on April 20th, 2022.
Tasting Notes
A nose of honeysuckle and citrus, with just a slight hint of mint, is followed by flavors of honeydew melon, crisp apple and spice. The finish is refreshing honeydew and apple with firm acidity. This versatile wine would be equally delicious with Tuesday night's grilled chicken, Friday's book-club luncheon and Sunday's tail-gate party. From cocktail wine to dinner pairing, Heather's Cuvée has become a very popular addition to our line up.
