The 2014 Malbec is made from grapes sourced in the Dry Creek Valley.  After open-top fermentation the wine is aged in French oak for 24 months.  It is deep, dark purple in color and shows bright aromas of black cherry and plum with a hint of coffee. The flavor follows the nose with distinct notes of spicy tart plum, and raspberry. The medium finish is one of savory tartness.  Pair this Malbec with a bleu cheese hamburger with mushrooms and rosemary or with a beef brisket in a rich smoked paprika gravy.
