K R Catering Hamburger Chili
Ingredients:
3 pounds ground beef
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
2 cups yellow onion
1 cup Mill Creek Merlot
2 TBS of beef base
1 4oz. can diced green chilies
1 ½ tablespoons chili powder
1 tsp oregano
3 tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp ground pepper
4 cans (15 oz each) red kidney beans (drained)
5 Dashes of Tabasco
1 15oz. can diced tomatoes with juices
1 15oz. can tomato sauce
Directions:
In a large heavy pot over medium heat, brown meat, onion and garlic breaking up meat with spoon until meat is no longer pink. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, 30-40 minutes. Serve in bowls and add toppings. Topping suggestions: grated smoked cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, chopped red onions, chopped jalapeños, or sour cream. Enjoy and serve with Mill Creek Merlot
